Happy Go Lucky Big Band
Happy-Go-Lucky Big Band, led by Kenny Matsuura, was formed in 2010 and draws its inspiration from the works of Duke Ellington. The band regularly appears at the stage of Fringe Club, bringing in masters like James Zoller of Duke Ellington Orchestra, guest soloist like Eric Miyashiro, Yoshiro Okazaki or Naoko Tanaka.
The band believes in music among other form of arts that can convey the expression of peace to the people’s mind directly by it’s sound. Jazz is true American music but played by people of many ethnicities today, a symbolic form of art for a blend of human culture. HGL likes to bring their message of peace in mind by jazz music.
